Shipping policy
Last updated: May 2026. We try to be plain-spoken about what to expect.
How fast we ship
Most orders ship from our Lockhart, TX kitchen within 24–48 hours of order confirmation. Orders placed before noon CT on a weekday usually go out the same afternoon. Orders placed after noon Friday ship the following Tuesday (we’re closed Sunday and Monday for kitchen prep and ferment turnover).
Where we ship
We currently ship to all 50 US states plus DC via USPS Priority Mail. We do not ship internationally at this time — sorry. Some of our customers in Canada use freight-forwarding services like Stackry or MyUS to receive orders; we’re happy to ship to those US addresses.

Tracking
Every order ships with a USPS tracking number. The tracking link is included in your order shipment confirmation email and is also visible in your account order history.
Packaging
We pack glass jars and bottles in molded pulp inserts (recyclable, plastic-free) inside double-wall corrugated boxes. We use a single layer of recyclable paper void-fill — no peanuts, no air pillows, no foam. Damage in transit is rare (<0.4% of orders in 2025); if it happens, see Damage in Transit below.
Damage in transit
If your order arrives broken or damaged, email hello@leosfireco.com within 14 days with a photo of the damage and the order number. We will replace or refund — your choice — at no cost to you. No back-and-forth, no return of damaged product required.
Heat-sensitive shipping
From June through September, we offer optional insulated shipping with ice gel packs for an additional $4.50 — recommended if you’re in the Southwest (AZ, NM, NV, CA, TX outside Hill Country) or expect package sitting on a porch during the day. None of our sauces require refrigeration, but some flavors degrade slightly with extended heat exposure. Look for the “Add cold-pack shipping” checkbox at checkout during summer months.
Address changes
If you need to change a shipping address, email us within 4 hours of placing the order. Once an order is in our packing queue (usually within 4 hours), we cannot reroute it.
Holiday & seasonal notes
- Thanksgiving week: last guaranteed order date is the Friday before Thanksgiving for in-time delivery.
- December holidays: last guaranteed order date for delivery by Christmas Eve is December 17. Orders placed after will ship as soon as USPS resumes guaranteed transit times in early January.
- Texas State Fair / Lockhart BBQ Festival weeks: our kitchen and pit run heavy during these. Shipping times can extend an extra 24 hours.
