Description
Apple Cider Bourbon Sauce starts with two gallons of fresh-pressed Texas apple cider reduced down to one quart over six hours. The concentrated cider syrup is then combined with dark brown sugar, fire-charred onions, barrel-strength Kentucky bourbon, smoked salt, and a generous amount of black pepper. Long simmer, no thickeners, no liquid smoke.
It’s the lighter cousin to our Maple Bourbon BBQ Glaze — sharper, more acidic, with the apple coming through clearly under the bourbon. Pork in particular loves this sauce. So do duck breasts, smoked turkey legs, and grilled stone fruit.
Suggested uses
- Pork shoulder: finish a pulled pork batch with 1 cup of sauce stirred into 5 pounds of meat
- Pork chops: brush on in the last 5 minutes of grilling, finish with a final brush after resting
- Duck breast: reduce 1/2 cup with the pan juices for a quick sauce
- Smoked sausages: serve warmed alongside as a dipping sauce
- Roasted root vegetables: toss carrots, parsnips, and beets in 3 tablespoons before roasting
- Grilled peaches or apples: brush during the last minute on the grill

Fresh-pressed apple cider (reduced 8:1), dark brown sugar, fire-charred yellow onion, Kentucky bourbon (barrel-strength), smoked sea salt, cracked black pepper, cider vinegar, toasted garlic, mustard powder, allspice. No corn syrup, no high-fructose corn syrup, no liquid smoke, no artificial coloring.
12oz hand-bottled. Refrigerate after opening. Best within 9 months.
